Rashad Jennings a 'game-day' decision

by Anthony Cervino | Sat, Oct 1st 8:15am EDT

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (thumb) was a limited participant in Friday's practice. "Rashad had a nice day today,” head coach Ben McAdoo said via Giants.com. “He got some work in both with our offense and the ‘look’ team and had a productive day. He caught some balls, so he’s progressing.” When asked if Jennings would be a “game-time decision,” McAdoo said, “It will be sooner. It will be earlier than game time, but game day, possibly.” Jennings is listed as questionable on the Week 4 injury report. (Giants.com)

Fantasy Impact:

It appears that Jennings will be a "game-day," not a "game-time" decision, which is good for fantasy owners who have the rusher on their roster. Even if Jennings plays on Monday night, he should be considered a risky start facing an extremely stout Vikings defense that has been cruel to opposing rushers. If Jennings is ruled out for the contest, Orleans Darkwa will likely draw the start with Bobby Rainey and Paul Perkins seeing work in the backfield. However, they should all be considered high-risk commodities for fantasy football purposes as Jennings is also deemed due to the matchup.
