Ben Roethlisberger could miss 4-6 weeks

by Alexander Onushco | Wed, Oct 19th 10:48am EDT

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger could miss between 4-to-6 weeks after having surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

The 4-to-6 week timetable is longer than originally expected, and puts Big Ben's availability for Week 9 in jeopardy. He was originally expected to be ready following the team's Week 8 bye, but that seems unlikely now. Landry Jones will start for however long he is out, which means fantasy owners should downgrade the fantasy outlook of all of the Steelers' pass-catching weapons.
