Broncos' DST spoils Brock Osweiler's return to Denver

by Blake Glosson | Broncos Correspondent | Tue, Oct 25th 12:20am EDT

The Broncos' defense held the Texans to just nine points and 271 total yards in Denver's 27-9 victory on Monday Night Football. They also forced two turnovers and one sack.

Fantasy Impact:

The Broncos also blocked a field goal, but Aqib Talib was called for an offsides penalty, and the Texans converted the field goal on the ensuing attempt. Other than that slight downer, it was another triumphant performance by an elite defense. Former Broncos' QB Brock Osweiler was kept out of the endzone and held to just 131 passing yards, and DeAndre "Nuk" Hopkins was almost entirely muted for the majority of the night. The Broncos will try to exact revenge on Philip Rivers and the Chargers when they come to Denver in Week 8. San Diego is currently averaging the second-most points per game and the ninth-most yards per game in the NFL. This is a potential reason to look elsewhere in DFS, but the Broncos' DST should still be started in virtually all redraft formats.
