Demaryius Thomas' continued drops rumored to be frustrating Broncos

After dropping another relatively easy pass in the Broncos' Week 7 tilt against the Texans, Bleacher Report's Jason Cole suggests that the Broncos are growing frustrated with their star WR. (Bleacher Report)

Fantasy Impact:

Demaryius Thomas got a lot of attention last year for being tied for the 5th most drops in the league last year, and that's exactly where he sits again so far this season. This year, in a lower-volume offense, that translates into an increase in drop rate from 5.1% in 2015 to 7.4% in 2016. It's important to note that this isn't exactly a new development though. DT has had a drop rate in the 5.1 - 8.7% range every year of his career. Generally speaking, Thomas has made up for it with his talent and it would be surprising to see any change in his role unless that number were to rise significantly, especially considering how financially committed they are to him after signing him to a 5-year, $70M deal in 2015.
