Rashad Jennings scores first receiving touchdown of the season in loss

by John Camera | Sun, Dec 4th 11:27pm EST

Rashad Jennings carried the ball only six times for 19 yards in the Giants' 24-14 loss at Pittsburgh. However, Jennings did most of his damage through the air, catching all six of the passes thrown his way for 34 yards while serving as Eli Manning's security blanket. He also scored New York's first touchdown on a misdirection screen that Jennings caught and ran untouched into the endzone.

Fantasy Impact:

Jennings actually had less carries than his rookie counterpart, Paul Perkins. Perkins received seven totes to Jennings' six. The rookie also had a better yards per carry average than Jennings, 5.4 to 3.2, despite the Giants abandoning the running game for the most part. Although Perkins didn't receive any targets in the passing game, expect him to be a much larger part of the Giants' offense going forward, as his agility and acceleration is better than Jennings'. The Giants' veteran tailback is someone to keep on the bench during your fantasy playoffs.
