Janoris Jenkins "OK" after scary injury in win over Lions

by John Camera | Mon, Dec 19th 1:15pm EST

Janoris Jenkins left Sunday's game versus the Lions early in the second quarter after a friendly-fire collision with fellow CB Trevin Wade. Jenkins did not return and went to the locker room where the Giants' training staff conducted tests on his spine and later his internals. Tests came back negative today, indicating that he has no internal damage. (Timothy Rapp via Bleacher Report)

Fantasy Impact:

Its still vague as to what Jenkins' diagnosis is and if he will be available on a short week when the Giants visit Philadelphia. Jackrabbit has been playing lights out recently but with Philly's WRs not a huge threat, New York may look to sit their best CB in anticipation with a matchup against Washington's lethal wideouts. If the Giants win Thursday against Philly and the Cowboys beat Detroit than the Redskins game becomes meaningless for NY and could give Jenkins even more time to recuperate.
