Cincinnati Bengals tight end C.J. Uzomah caught four passes for 66 yards in a 21-20 loss to Seattle in Week 1.

Fantasy Impact

Uzomah finished second on the team in receiving yardage, behind only John Ross. The veteran tight end will mix in but he isn't a trustworthy option in fantasy leagues while Tyler Eifert is healthy.

C.J. Uzomah catches one pass

Cincinnati Bengals tight end C.J. Uzomah caught a one-yard pass in his team's 23-13 preseason win over Washington on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Uzomah played with the starters and actually caught Andy Dalton's first pass. The veteran tight end could lose his job to second-round rookie Drew Sample but he has held him off thus far. Tyler Eifert is the Cincinnati tight end to own in fantasy.

C.J. Uzomah re-signs with Bengals

C.J. Uzomah has agreed to a three-year, $18 million deal to remain the Bengals.

Fantasy Impact

The Bengals had three intriguing free agent TEs this offseason, also including Tyler Eifert and Tyler Kroft. Eifert remains a free agent while Kroft has reached an agreement with the Bills. That leaves Uzomah as the team's current top option at TE, though they could re-sign Eifert or address the position elsewhere this offseason. Uzomah had a chance to really showcase his ability in 2018 with injuries to Eifert and Kroft, but he wasn't able to do much with the opportunity. He'll be a name to watch this offseason, but he's more likely to be a streaming TE in favorable matchups or TE2 to start 2019.
