Adam Schefter has said that the Titans will be "in the mix" for Tom Brady this offseason. (Source: Adam Schefter)

Fantasy Impact: Tennessee has a free agent QB of their own in Ryan Tannehill and will need to address the position in some way this offseason. Brady is an obvious target given the presence of former teammate Mike Vrabel and the team's strong 2019 postseason run.

Bears general manager Ryan Pace told reporters that he believes David Montgomery can be the team's featured running back in 2020 while carrying a heavier load. (Source: Jeff Dickerson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Montgomery finished the 2019 season with over 1,000 total yards and seven touchdowns. He was limited overall by the team's offense, largely stemming from their trouble at QB. Still, Montgomery is a candidate to take the next step forward in 2020. He's currently a low-end RB2 in our early expert consensus rankings.

Bears general manager Ryan Pace told reporters that Mitch Trubisky will open the new season as the team's starting quarterback. (Source: Jeff Dickerson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Despite this commitment, the team has remained open to competition under center for Trubisky given the QB's struggles, especially in 2019. Trubisky was a popular break-out player last fantasy draft season, but given the lack of job security for the full season and his poor production in 2019, he is currently the QB25 in our early expert consensus rankings.

Tua Tagovailoa expects to be cleared by doctors on March 9. He added that he expects to be "full-go" for his Pro Day, which is currently scheduled for April 9. (Source: Mike Jones on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Tua will need to show what he has during his Pro Day, given he won't receive clearance prior to the NFL Combine. Despite the injury, Tua is still reportedly in consideration as the second QB off the board to the Dolphins at No. 5 overall. It will be interesting to see how he performs leading up the 2020 NFL Draft, and his landing spot and projected role will impact his fantasy outlook for next season.

While general manager Mike Mayock told reporters that quarterback David Carr "played at a high level" in 2019 and that he was "happy" with him, the GM added that “every position gets evaluated every year, and if we can upgrade it, we will.” (Source: Zack Cox on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: There have been rumors involving Tom Brady moving to Las Vegas and the Raiders this offseason. It's clear the Raiders are leaving the door open for a replacement of Carr, but it's far from a given that Carr isn't the team's starter in 2020. Whatever the case, he's not very fantasy-relevant, as he's currently considered the QB28 by our expert consensus rankings.

The Chiefs have indicated that they are unlikely to retain wide receiver Sammy Watkins at his current $14 million contract. Both sides are expected to meet to discuss this more this week. (Source: Adam Teicher on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Watkins has made early indications that he would consider sitting out the 2020 season, though the Chiefs can cut him which would put him back on the open market. While he's been around seemingly forever, Watkins is still only 26 years old and could warrant another long-term contract on the open market. His landing spot and projected role will ultimately determine his fantasy value, but it seems likely that he could part ways with the Chiefs this offseason.

Referring to star running back Derrick Henry, Titans general manager Jon Robinson told reporters "we’re going to work through that one and do everything we can to try to keep him around.” (Source: Erik Bacharach on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Henry basically carried the Titans' offense for much of the year, and they depended on his ability to establish the run to win games and advance in the postseason. It will be an interesting offseason in Tennessee as both their starting running back, Henry, and quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, are free agents. Henry figures to command a starting role wherever he lands this offseason. He is currently the RB5 in standard-scoring formats based on our early expert consensus rankings.

Addressing the media at the NFL Combine, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said "there is no reason to anticipate that Stefon Diggs is not going to be a Minnesota Viking." (Source: Vikings on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: This continues to be the party line in Minnesota, and it seems like it's the truth. The Vikings figure to again contend in the NFC, and they have no incentive to trade the dynamic Diggs. While there may continue to be frustrations, both for Diggs and fantasy owners, it doesn't appear that he'll be playing elsewhere in 2020.

Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht told reporters that the team is "more than excited" to see what tight end O.J. Howard can do in year-two of Bruce Arians' system. He added that the Bucs are "very high" on Howard. (Source: Greg Auman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Howard was a notorious bust in 2019, entering the year as a projected top tight end only to fall out of fantasy relevance. He has the pedigree and phyiscal ability to be a star in the league, and he's shown flashes of brilliance, but it remains to be determined if he'll receive an opportunity in Tampa or if this was just lip service. He's currently the TE14 in our early expert consensus rankings.

Lions general manager Bob Quinn told reporters that quarterback Matthew Stafford has already resumed working out and should be "full-go" in time for the team's offseason program. Stafford landed on IR in 2019 due to back and hip injuries. (Source: Kyle Meinke on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Stafford was able to produce before succumbing to injuries in 2019. He should have a nice stable of pass-catchers available to him in Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones, the recently re-signed Danny Amendola, and tight end T.J. Hockenson. As such, Stafford should again enter the season as a borderline QB1 in 1QB redraft leagues. He's currently the QB13 in our expert consensus rankings.

Browns general manager Andrew Berry told reporters that the team will tender an offer to running back Kareem Hunt. Berry did not indicate which tender the team will use on Hunt. (Source: Scott Petrak on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The tender used will determine what draft pick compensation a team would need to offer the Browns to sign Hunt away from Cleveland. It will be interesting to see what tender the team uses, as it should be indicative of what role they have in mind for Hunt. While Hunt proved fantasy-relevant in Cleveland, his best opportunity for fantasy success is likely to head to another team where he can take on a larger, if not starting, role.

Running back Le'Veon Bell may not take part in the Jets' offseason program, but head coach Adam Gase told reporters "it’s not a huge deal." (Source: Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Gase has made it clear that he didn't think Bell was a great fit from the time the running back was signed, and the team would likely love to trade the veteran, but Bell's contract and lack of production will likely not allow for a move this offseason. As such, Bell basically can do what he wants. Given the situation, Bell should continue to be used heavily as the Jets really have nothing to lose, assuming he's able to provide at least average production. As such, he's entering the new season considered a low-end RB2 by our current expert consensus rankings.

Broncos general manager John Elway told reporters that second-year player Drew Lock will continue to be the team's starting quarterback in 2020. (Source: Mike Klis on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Lock showed some flashes in 2019, throwing five touchdown passes over his first two NFL games. However, he was less inspiring down the stretch with QBRs of 52.0 or less in each of his final three contests. While Lock isn't likely to be relevant in 1QB redraft leagues in 2020 -- currently QB27 based on our expert consensus -- he is an interesting player in dynasty leagues, especially those that use two quarterbacks.

According to Falcons GM, Thomas Dimitroff, Austin Hooper will be allowed to test the free agent market. (Source: Atlanta Falcons on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: From Weeks 1-10 in 2019, Austin Hooper was the TE1 in half point scoring formats. An injury sidelined him for weeks 11-13, but he was dominant up to that point. Now that Hooper is going to be allowed to sign with any team, could we see a team like the New England Patriots have interest?

Marquise Brown had off-season surgery to remove a screw from his foot. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Brown had a screw placed in his foot in when he had Lisfranc surgery in January. He had a follow up procedure to remove the screw from his foot. Brown could be limited this offseason, but should be fine when training camp rolls around. Brown finished with 46 catches for 584 yards and seven touchdowns in his rookie season.

When asked if he would play for the Cincinnati Bengals, Joe Burrow had this to say, "'I'm not going to not play.' He adds: 'I'll play for whoever drafts me.'" (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: There were questions surrounding whether or not Joe Burrow would want to go play for the Bengals, a team that hasn't shown a true dedication to winning Super Bowls. This answers that question and near solidifies Burrow as the 1.01 in the NFL Draft.

According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Carolina Panthers are moving forward with Cam Newton as their starting quarterback. Rapoport does add, however, that Newton is still months away from being game-ready as he continues to rehab his foot injury and that "a lot can still happen in the coming months." (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: While it is certainly not a sure thing, and there is always the possibility that the Panthers are merely putting this news out there as a smokescreen ahead of the NFL Draft, it sounds like there will be one fewer quarterback available in what could be a crowded free-agent quarterback market this offseason.

The plan for former Gophers WR Tyler Johnson in Indianapolis this week is to complete positional drills, interviews with teams, and medical testing. He’ll wait to run the 40 on March 25 at his Pro Day. This gives him another month to work on that and hopefully do well. (Source: Darren Wolfson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Tyler Johnson is an intriguing name to watch towards the later rounds of the NFL Draft. While he has great hands and excels in contested situations, his tape suggests average athleticism. Choosing to participate in other positional drills, but not participating in the 40-yard dash is a bad look. Pro days are not typically laser timed, which can help make a player's numbers look better than they are. This decision makes you wonder how well he's actually going to run and whether or not those concerns on tape are validated.

At the measurements portion of The 2020 NFL Combine, KJ Hamler weighed in at 178 pounds. (Source: Charles Robinson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Hamler was listed by Penn State at 165, so him showing up at 178 is a good sign. The NFL is moving further and further away from needing to be a stout WR that can take a beating, which is good news for players of Hamler's stature. Hamler's explosive, shifty, and quick as a cat. Knowing that he has the size to play (and stay) in today's NFL is outstanding for his fantasy future.

At the measurements portion of The 2020 NFL Combine, Shenault weighed in at 227 pounds. (Source: Charles Robinson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Watching Shenault on tape, it's easy to see how he turns into a running back with the ball in his hands. Not only does he turn into a running back, he's a BIG running back. Shenault, who is nearly the exact same size as Ezekiel Elliott (6'0/225), is going to be a nightmare for opposing corners to try and tackle. The 40-yard dash is going to be interesting to see how explosive he is at that size.
