Latest Player Updates

The Ravens are shutting down their facility until Monday at the earliest, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Baltimore is scheduled to face Pittsburgh on Sunday, “so that game doesn’t seem possible.” (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: “Ravens players were told today by their HC John Harbaugh that, for everyone’s safety, they will not be allowed back in the training facility until Monday at the earliest,” Schefter added. The NFL continues to monitor the situation and faces its toughest schedule challenge yet. Both teams are scheduled to play Sunday, but with four more positive tests, it’s becoming increasingly unlikely that this game is played. Fantasy managers should look for other options just in case this contest of officially postponed.

QB Lamar Jackson reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Jackson reportedly tested positive for coronavirus and will most likely miss Sunday’s game against the Steelers. The Ravens haven’t confirmed the positive test and yet to release an official statement. If Jackson is unable to suit up, Robert Griffin III would draw the start. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation. Stay tuned.

RB Tevin Coleman (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice. (Source: Nick Wagoner on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Coleman has been sidelined since Week 8 with a knee injury. He is on track to return along with starting RB Raheem Mostert. The 49ers backfield will be the healthiest it’s been all season with Coleman, Mostert and Jeff Wilson all expected to return Week 12. If Coleman is active, fantasy managers should hold off starting him until the 49ers’ backfield situation unfolds.

WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice. (Source: Nick Wagoner on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Samuel has now logged back-to-back limited practices. He has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since Week 7’s win over the Patriots. Friday’s practice report should give an indication on whether Samuel is suiting up Week 12 against the Rams. If active, Samuel is high upside WR3/flex play, and currently 62nd among all wideouts in the latest expert consensus rankings.

QB Nick Foles (hip) didn’t participate in practice on Thursday. (Source: Larry Mayer on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Foles has been unable to practice this week and is in danger of missing Sunday’s contest against the Packers. Mitch Trubisky reportedly is expected to start Week 12. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation, but it appears Foles is unlikely to play on SNF. If Foles is ruled out, Trubisky can be used in Two-QB/Superflex league formats.

Cowboys OL Zack Martin has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 12 against Washington. (Source: Ed Werder on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Martin was declared out by the FOX broadcast, but there's been no official announcement yet in the press box. It's unclear what the exact injury is, but the fact that he was ruled out so quickly isn't a good sign. He's a vitally important piece of Dallas' offense.

Matt Prater made his lone field-goal attempt and both of his extra-point attempts in the Lions’ 41-25 loss to the Texans on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact: The Lions fell behind 41-17 late into the fourth quarter, prompting the team to go for two on the final score of the game. Prater was perfect on his three attempts, but he was once again stifled by Detroit's pedestrian offense. He'll look to get back on track against Chicago in Week 13.

Detroit Lions D/ST racked up two sacks and a fumble recovery in the Lions’ 41-25 loss to the Texans on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact: The two sacks and fumble recovery did little to make up for the 41 points surrendered in Thursday's ugly loss. A matchup with Chicago in Week 13 offers a more favorable outlook, but the Lions defense isn't going to be a recommended option any time soon.

Jamal Agnew failed to bring in his lone target in the Lions’ 41-25 loss to the Texans on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact: Agnew was only targeted once but nearly got on the board with a beautiful pass to Matthew Stafford on a trick play that was ultimately ruled incomplete. Agnew is unlikely to see much work moving forward with Mohamed Sanu on the active roster and Kenny Golladay nearing a return to the field.

Ka'imi Fairbairn was 2-for-2 in field goal attempts and 3-for-4 in extra-point tries on Thursday as the Texans beat the Lions by a 41-25 score in Week 12 action.

Fantasy Impact: Fairbairn missed just his second extra-point of the season on Thursday as the veteran kicker has been reliable for the Texans. Fairbairn is worth owning in all 12-14 team fantasy formats.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee (elbow) remained sidelined during Thursday's practice. (Source: Lindsey Thiry on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: This makes two straight missed practices for Higbee, who will need a "limited" session on Friday to have a chance at suiting up in Week 12. Gerald Everett would be an interesting streaming option if Higbee can't go against the 49ers. Friday's injury report will be telling.

Marvin Hall caught two of four targets for 16 yards in the Lions’ 41-25 loss to the Texans on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact: For the second week in a row, Hall came away with 16 yards. Absent a big-play and/or a touchdown, Hall isn't a viable fantasy option. He should see his already minimal role reduced when Kenny Golladay returns to action.

The Texans defense held the Lions to three touchdown scores on Thursday as the team won by a 41-25 score in Week 12 action.

Fantasy Impact: The Lions forced three turnovers including a touchdown by J.J. Watt on Thursday while also coming up with four sacks, four tackles for losses and seven passes defended. The D/ST faces the Colts in Week 13 in what could be a tough matchup for the Texans.

Jonathan Williams rushed once for five yards and brought in all four of his targets for 21 yards in the Lions’ 41-25 loss to the Texans on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact: He also lost a fumble. Williams saw some work in this one with D'Andre Swift out of action, though it will be tough for Williams to find the field once Swift returns.

After being limited in practice on Wednesday, Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy (ankle/achilles) did not participate in practice on Thursday. (Source: Adam Caplan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: It’s never a good sign when a player starts the week practicing and then logs a DNP on Thursday or Friday, so this is definitely something to monitor with Jeudy. Check the injury report on Friday to see if he can practice. If he can’t go in Week 12 vs. the Saints, Tim Patrick and KJ Hamler should see an uptick in snaps.

Kahale Warring failed to catch his only target on Thursday as the Texans beat the Lions by a 41-25 score in Week 12 action.

Fantasy Impact: The Texans activated Warring from injured reserve Monday and was able to see some action on Thursday. Warring is batting Jordan Akins, Darren Fells, and Pharaoh Brown at tight end for the Texans and will not see enough volume to be worth picking up in fantasy.

Mohamed Sanu brought in all four of his targets for 32 yards and a TD in the Lions’ 41-25 loss to the Texans on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact: Just a day after being signed to the active roster, Sanu became the recipient of Matthew Stafford's 18th career Thanksgiving touchdown pass and his only one of the afternoon. He capped off that same drive with a two-point conversion to complete the octopus. Given his history and production in the NFL, it's possible Sanu retains a role among Detroit's top-three wideouts when Kenny Golladay returns.

Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling was added to Thursday's injury report with an Achilles issue. (Source: John Doran on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: John Doran, a Fox reporter in Green Bay, caught a video of MVS limping during Thursday's practice. A mid-week injury is never ideal, so Friday's report will be telling for whether or not Valdes-Scantling can play on Sunday night against the Bears. Allen Lazard would likely see an increase in targets if MVS can't go.

Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) practiced in full on Thursday and is trending towards a return in Week 12 vs. the Dolphins. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Darnold hasn’t played since Week 8, but it sounds like he’ll return on Sunday when the Jets face the Dolphins. If he can log another full practice on Friday, he may be off the injury report completely heading into Week 12.

T.J. Hockenson caught five of eight targets for 89 yards in the Lions’ 41-25 loss to the Texans on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact: Hock looked like he was headed for a monster day, as he totaled 70 yards early in the first half. He was mostly a non-factor the rest of the way, but he still finished with a team-high 89 yards. That's back-to-back weeks the second-year man has led Detroit in receiving, and even with Kenny Golladay nearing his return, Hock should remain a must-start top-5 TE each and every week.
