While the Panthers lost, their defense didn't pitch a bad game. They sacked Jalen Hurts twice and forced two turnovers with a safety. They also managed to contain the normally powerful Eagles' offense. The Panthers will be once again tested in Week 6 against the Vikings.

Fantasy Impact

After shutting down the Cowboys in the season opener, the Panthers defense couldn't contain Matt Ryan on Sunday, allowing the signal caller to beat them for a pair of touchdowns on the ground and through the air. Although they added an interception to their totals, the Panthers D/ST wasn't the best in fantasy in Week 2. They'll get the uprising Bengals in Week 3,

The Panthers shut down the Cowboys, forcing one turnover and six Dak Prescott sacks. However, they lost Luke Kuechly in the fourth quarter in the effort, which could prove to be costly. The Panthers have a solid Week 2 matchup ahead against a Falcons offense that couldn't get out of their own way in the red zone. Consider the Carolina a quality back-end D/ST option if Kuechly plays, but could fall out of favor if he doesn't.
