Latest Player Updates

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook remained limited in practice on Thursday due to a chest injury, according to the team's official injury report. (Source: vikings.com)

Fantasy Impact: While Cook is expected to play this week, the worry is that his role might be limited against a struggling Lions team on Sunday. If the Vikings get out to an early lead, they could choose to rest Cook in favor of Alexander Mattison, which makes Cook hard to trust in fantasy formats that are heading into the playoffs. Monitor Cook's status heading into this weekend for updates.

Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen missed practice again on Thursday as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury that has limited him for the last several weeks. (Source: vikings.com)

Fantasy Impact: Thielen has missed all but one game since Week 7, and the one game that the did play he had to leave early due to this hamstring injury. While he has not yet been ruled out for this week, fantasy owners would be wise to not rely on Thielen. Monitor his status heading into the weekend.

Giants tight end Evan Engram logged a limited practice on Thursday as he continues to deal with a foot injury. He has not played since Week 9 against the Cowboys. (Source: giants.com)

Fantasy Impact: Engram's practice status has him trending towards playing this week, but it will be hard to trust the young tight end in fantasy considering he does not play until Monday night against the Eagles. Monitor his status heading into the weekend.

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones missed practice on Thursday and remained in a walking boot, according to a report from Ryan Dunleavy. (Source: Ryan Dunleavy on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Earlier in the week, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur said it was very likely that Eli Manning started over the injured Jones this week due to the latter's high ankle sprain. The expectation is that Jones will miss at least this week, but keep an eye on his status throughout the weekend.

Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield (hand/ribs) logged another full practice on Thursday, according to the team's official injury report. (Source: clevelandbrowns.com)

Fantasy Impact: Mayfield emerged from last week's game a little banged up, but all signs point to him being fine for this week's game against the struggling Bengals. Monitor his status heading into the weekend, but the expectation is that he will be ready to go.

Tom Brady was listed as a limited participant in practice on Thursday due to elbow and toe injuries, according to the team's official injury report. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Brady has been a mainstay on the New England injury report for the last decade, and there does not appear to be any indication that he is in any danger of missing this Sunday's game the Kansas City Chiefs. Monitor his status heading into the weekend.

Rams tight end Gerald Everett missed practice for a second straight day on Thursday as he continues to recover from a knee injury that kept him out of last week's game against the Cardinals. (Source: Lindsey Thiry on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: With Everett missing another practice, he seems to be trending towards missing a second straight game. Check back in on his status tomorrow and heading into the weekend for updates, but fantasy owners should already have a backup plan in place.

Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday as he continues to deal with a knee injury. (Source: Dave Zangaro on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Agholor missed Week 12 with a knee injury that he suffered while dropping a would-be touchdown pass at the end of a Week 11 loss, but he was able to return in Week 13. His absence from practice could just be maintenance of the same injury, but you would expect him to practice in at least a limited fashion if that were the case. Monitor his status on Friday and heading into the weekend, and consider him very questionable until further notice.

Bears linebacker Roquan Smith has been ruled out for the remainder of Thursday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys with a pectoral injury. (Source: Brad Biggs on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Smith left after a first quarter touchdown drive by the Cowboys and headed into the locker room, and he reportedly will not return. Smith recorded 10 tackles and two sacks in last week's win over the Lions, but an early exit and quick confirmation of his status likely mean he has a significant injury. Look for an update on his status later tonight.

Eagles running back Jordan Howard still has not been cleared for contact, according to head coach Doug Pederson. (Source: Zack Rosenblatt on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Howard has missed the team's last three games after a Week 10 bye week with a shoulder injury, and he is trending toward missing a fourth consecutive game. If Howard is unable to go, Miles Sanders will likely continue to get the majority of the touches out of the Philadelphia backfield, with Jay Ajayi playing sparingly.

Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. remained limited in practice on Thursday due to a groin injury. (Source: clevelandbrowns.com)

Fantasy Impact: Beckham has managed to practice in a limited fashion this week, and there does not seem to be much concern about him missing this week's matchup against the Bengals. However, monitor his status on Friday for an official injury designation just to be safe.

Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch will miss his third straight game due to a neck injury on Thursday against the Chicago Bears. (Source: David Helman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Vander Esch seems to be getting closer to returning, but he has said that he wants to be sure he is 100% before returning. Joe Thomas should once again step up in his absence.

Cowboys running back Tony Pollard is officially inactive for the team's Week 14 matchup against the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football due to an ankle injury. (Source: Patrick Finley on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: For fantasy purposes, Pollard is primarily a handcuff to starting running back Ezekiel Elliott, so his absence shouldn't be a huge blow to fantasy owners. Fullback Jamize Olawale should be the primary backup to Elliott on Thursday, though wide receivers Tavon Austin and Randall Cobb have experience in the backfield, as well.

Bears starting cornerback Prince Amukamara is officially inactive for the team's Week 14 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football due to a hamstring injury. (Source: Adam Caplan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Amukamara was listed as doubtful due to the hamstring injury, so his status should not come as a surprise. Buster Skrine is expected to step up in his absence.

James Conner has been ruled out for Week 14 due to his shoulder injury. (Source: Chris Adamski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Conner will miss another week due to the injury. He's been out since Week 11 when he tried to return from the injury but aggravated his shoulder. With Conner out again, Benny Snell should continue to get a majority of the early-down work with Jaylen Samuels chipping in as the primary pass-catcher out of the backfield. Snell is the No. 26 RB in standard leagues based on our expert consensus for this week, but that ranking could rise with Conner now out considering Pittsburgh's prime matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Chiefs are placing Darrel Williams (hamstring) on injured reserve. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: The Chiefs’ backfield has been a bit of a mess in recent weeks and this at least clears things up a little bit moving forward. Still, it’s unclear if Damien Williams (ribs) will play this Sunday against the Patriots. If he misses Week 14 then LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson will split world in a committee backfield.

Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster did not participate in the team's Wednesday practice. (Source: Brooke Pryor on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: JuJu called himself week to week, but was able to get some straight line running in for the first time since suffering the injury. His self applied injury tag leads one to believe that he believes he is doubtful for Week 14. With the Steelers fighting for a playoff spot, the door will remain open on a return before the end of the fantasy playoffs. With that being said, the team has been relying on its defense and run game to win games, and will not rush their star receiver back before he is ready.

Tennessee Titans star running back Derrick Henry missed Wednesday's practice with his hamstring injury. (Source: Paul Gutierrez on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: This is the same injury that Henry was listed with last week and he was able to play through it to terrific results. This is not a situation to be concerned about unless Henry misses Thursday or Friday's practice. Henry remains locked and loaded as an RB1 for this weekend's plus matchup against the Oakland Raiders.

San Francisco 49ers superstar tight end George Kittle was limited in the team's Wednesday practice. (Source: Matt Maiocco on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: There is nothing to worry about here as the 49ers will be managing Kittle's practice reps for the rest of the season. He is going to need to stay off his ankle for weeks for it to fully heal, and may even be a candidate for offseason surgery. Kittle was held in check against a ferocious Ravens defense, but the game was played in the rain, and the 49ers leaned on the ground game throughout the tightly contested loss. Kittle should be able to bounce back against a Saints defense dealing with enough injuries at linebacker to warrant signing Manti Te'o off the street. Barring a serious aggravation, Kittle will play through the injury for the rest of the season at a top tier TE1 level.

Oakland Raiders star running back Josh Jacobs revealed that he has been playing through a fractured shoulder. (Source: Paul Gutierrez on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: This hopefully sheds light on his extremely limited passing game usage this season. Playing through this injury is a perfect example of the toughness Jacobs displays with his running style. Fourth in the league in rushing yards despite the injury, Jacobs is the RB10 in fantasy points per game. Jacobs has been playing through this injury for weeks, and is full expected to play this weekend against Tennessee.
