Los Angeles Rams
TWR - LAR
Week 13 Outlook
The Rams D/ST came away with an interception, a sack and three fumble recoveries, including one that was scooped up and returned for a touchdown during their Week 12 loss to the 49ers'.
Troy Hill scooped up a Raheem Mostert fumble in the third-quarter and returned it 20-yards for the score. The Rams D/ST is hardly to blame for this loss as they played one of their more fantasy productive games of the year. They do, however, get a tough matchup in Week 13 against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals.
The Rams D/ST intercepted Tom Brady twice while surrendering 251 total yards of offense en route to 24 points during their 27-24 win in Week 11.
It was a quiet night for this defense outside of two interceptions as they failed to sack Brady one time. They did a nice job limiting the Bucs' big plays on the night, however, it rarely amounted to fantasy points. This defensive unit had a better real life game than for fantasy purposes but are presented a great bounce-back opportunity against the banged up 49ers' offense in Week 12.
The Rams D/ST did an excellent job making things difficult on the dynamic Seahawks' offense in Week 10, forcing three turnovers and coming away with six sacks in the 23-16 victory.
Russell Wilson and the Seahawks offense were seemingly running through opposing defenses at will but all of that stopped in Week 10. The Rams D/ST did a fantastic job making things tough on Wilson as he failed to throw a touchdown pass for the first time all season. Another seemingly tough matchup awaits in Week 11 but if they can slow down the Seahawks offense there is no telling what they can do against the Buccaneers.
The Rams D/ST limited the Dolphins to just 145 yards of total offense and forced two turnovers despite losing the game 17-28. They also posted two sacks.
In a bizarre situation, the Rams' defense was absolutely dominant, forcing two turnovers and limiting Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins to only 145 yards of total offense despite losing the game. Unfortunately for the defense, Miami scored half of their touchdowns via special teams or on defense. This loss is not on the Rams D/ST. They now head into a bye with a Week 10 matchup against the red hot Russell Wilson and Seahawks.
The Rams D/ST came away with four sacks and two interceptions during their 24-10 win over the Bears on Monday Night Football.
Although they are less potent than years past, the Rams D/ST did a nice job making things difficult for Nick Foles and the Bears offense. The only touchdown the Bears were able to put up came on defense as their offense was limited to just a field goal on the evening. The Rams D/ST will be an juicy streaming option against the Dolphins and rookie Tua Tagovailoa, who is making his first career start.
