Michael Oher
OL -
2024 Outlook
Michael Oher's status for next season remains in doubt as Oher is still in the NFL's concussion protocol. Panthers GM David Gettleman said he's going to look at tackles in free agency and the draft, sounding like a guy who isn't willing to tie himself to Oher. Oher missed the final 13 games of this past season after suffering a concussion in Week 2. Carolina allowed 36 sacks this past season but Cam Newton was consistently getting knocked to the ground. Mike Remmers is the current RT and could become a swing tackle if they grab two tackles in the draft or free agency.
Fantasy Impact
The Panthers top priority would be to get a better offensive line for their star QB Cam Newton. Everyone remembers how easy it was for LB Von Miller to get to the QB against the Panthers in the Super Bowl last season. An improved o-line will help Cam Newton and Jonathan Stewart's outlook for next season.
Michael Oher has been ruled out for Week 4 with a concussion. Oher was added tp the injury report today suggesting it happened during practice. RT Mike Remmers will slide over to the blind side and T Darryl Williams will start at RT.
Fantasy Impact
Luckily, the Falcons have one of the worst pass rushing defenses in the league. Look for the Panthers to establish the run and look for big plays anyway in the passing game.
The Carolina Panthers and OT Michael Oher agreed to terms on a three-year, $21.6 million contract extension that includes $9.5 million in guaranteed money.
Fantasy Impact
Michael Oher was awarded a three-year contract extension on Friday by the Panthers. Oher was a part of a Carolina offensive line that led that way for the league's No. 2 rushing offense that finished the 2015 season with 2,282 yards and 19 touchdowns. The seven-year veteran rejuvenated his career with the Panthers following a disappointing one-year stint with Tennessee.
