Burkhead saw an impressive 18 carries last week for Houston in their blowout win over Tennessee, which was good enough for the 9th most at the RB position in Week 11, but it only resulted in 40 total yards. With no involvement in the receiving game, plus the state of the overall offense he plays in, Burkhead holds very little upside week in and week out. The fact that Phillip Lindsay is no longer in town makes Burkhead a bit more intriguing from a redraft perspective, but you should only be considering him if you are in an absolute pinch. He can be viewed as a low-end RB3 this week.
Week 12 Waiver Wire
Burkhead saw plenty of work in Week 11, but it only resulted in 40 total yards as he wasn't involved in the receiving game at all. In a game that should be fairly close from start to finish against the Jets, which means a neutral game script, Burkhead should see north of 15 carries yet again. However, whether he can do much with them is an entirely different question. As with many of the other options on this waiver wire list this week, Burkhead should only be added if you simply have no other option.Monday, Nov 22nd
