James Cook III Week 6 Outlook - Bills at Falcons

Just when Cook was starting to become invincible for fantasy, the Patriots managed to bottle him up. After scoring 24 touchdowns in his last 20 games (including playoffs), the Pats held him out of the endzone and under 50 scrimmage yards. Usually, when a player has such a ridiculous stretch of production, you can brush off one bad performance. However, through the first four weeks, the hardest run defense they faced was the Saints, who are allowing the 12th most fantasy points and yards to the position. In contrast, the Patriots are allowing the fifth fewest fantasy points and second fewest rushing yards. This week
s game against the Falcons is more similar to last week than their first four. The Falcons are allowing the third-fewest fantasy points and second-fewest rushing touchdowns to RBs. Continue to play Cook as a strong RB1, but be aware that this matchup may limit his ceiling.
