It’s tough to figure out where Woodhead fits in at this point of his career, but he’s going to be fantasy-relevant out of necessity. The Ravens threw the ball more than any other team in the NFL last year, with the running backs seeing 142 of them, which was tied for the second-most in the league. He’s an excellent pick in PPR leagues.

Danny Woodhead to sign with Ravens

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting former Los Angeles Chargers running back Danny Woodhead is signing with the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Impact

Earlier in the offseason, there were reports that the Ravens would add a running back in free agency, and they did. They are signing Woodhead when the free agency signing period opens on Thursday. Woodhead, who missed 14 games in 2016 due to a torn ACL suffered in Week 2, is now "fully healthy" after undergoing surgery to repair the injury, per Rapoport. He'll likely assume his usual role as the primary receiver out of the backfield in Baltimore, while Kenneth Dixon enters 2017 as the starter, sending Terrance West to the bottom of the totem pole for touches.
