With Doug Martin missing the first three games of the 2017 season due to suspension, Rodgers vaults into must-start territory for Week 1 against the Dolphins. Last year, Rodgers set career highs with 129 carries and 560 rushing yards while filling in for Martin, and he's shown he's capable of being a fantasy stud when he has the starting role to himself. The Dolphins allowed only nine total touchdowns to running backs in 2016, and figure to be equally as tough on the run this season. But in a high-powered offense and as the workhorse, Rodgers is a solid play against Miami.

Jacquizz Rodgers takes a backseat in Week 5 loss

Jacquizz Rodgers had three carries for two yards and added an addition 12 yards while catching his only target in last night's loss to the Patriots.

Fantasy Impact

With the return of Doug Martin it looks that the end of Rogers' value came with it. He was clearly and after thought and a change of pace back, and even with Martin not playing most of the fourth quarter he still only managed four touches. Rogers is however the clear handcuff should something happen to Martin. Although it was just one game, it was pretty clear who the better back was and who Tampa Bay will be rolling with going forward. Rogers is still worth hanging on to, but with bye weeks upon us he should be one of the first you consider dropping.
