Explosive athlete. Dynamic slot receiver, but also has the ability to play outside. Will be able to step in and fill the Hollywood Brown role for a NFL team. Great route runner. Stacks his routes well with shiftiness and puts the defender on his heels. Then follows through with his explosiveness to create separation. Mismatch out of the slot without a small nickel corner. A safety or LB lined up on him won't be able to keep up. Used downfield frequently, but also excels on quick outs, slants, ins, etc. Extremely athletic and agile with his size. Shifty, but also has great burst to be able to pull away from defenders. Great hands and made several difficult catches on tape. Had only one drop, but followed it up immediately with a great grab. Struggles in truly contested catch situations, but is able to hang onto the ball with a defender draped over him in tight windows. Due to his size, is not going to be a player to "go up and get it" and come down with the ball consistently. Great after the catch. Infrequently used in screens or crossing routes, but great after the catch downfield. Able to utilize his athleticism to pull away from defenders and house it. However, does have the ability to catch a defender flat footed and turn the corner to pick up a nice long gain. Decent release at the LOS, but was rarely tested due to being in the slot. Whenever he did line up out wide, he was rarely pressed...most likely due to defenses respecting his speed. Great at tracking the ball deep and should continue to succeed in this area in the NFL. And blazing speed. Might push Henry Ruggs and Jalen Reagor for fastest 40 yard dash. Overall, a great WR prospect who is not necessarily relegated to just a slot role. A cheat code on slot fade routes and will be a mismatch nightmare for defensive coordinators. Due to his size, he won't fit every NFL offense, but there's a spot for him and he could be very valuable for Fantasy Football.

KJ Hamler a non-factor in Week 12 loss to Saints

Broncos WR KJ Hamler did not receive a target and had one carry that went for -8 rushing yards in the Broncos' 31-3 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 12.

Fantasy Impact

Hamler joined the rest of his receiving corps in doing next to nothing in Week 12. Hamler remains a better asset in dynasty formats and is not recommended for redraft leagues heading into Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
