Jamie Benn scores his 500th career point during loss Tuesday

Jamie Benn scored a goal and earned an assist during Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

Benn's backdoor goal at the 8:43 mark of the second period earned him the 500th point of his NHL career. Benn would pick up his 501st point at the 13:35 mark of the second period, picking up an assist on Tyler Seguin's power-play-goal. The 27-year-old Left Wing has scored two points in each of his last three performances, as well as three goals in his last four games. He now holds 53 points through 54 games-played this season.
