Alexander Wennberg, who was a restricted free agent, signed a six-year contract extension to stay with the Columbus Blue Jackets worth $29.4 million. (NHL.com)

At only 22 years old, Wennberg posted career highs last season with 13 goals and 46 assists in 80 games played. He could be slatted to play with newly acquired Artemi Panarin on the top line for the Blue Jackets forming a nice dynamic duo in what promises to be a competitive Metropolitan division once again.
