Anton Slepyshev injures ankle during training

Anton Slepyshev injured his ankle while training and is unlikely to be ready for the start of training camp according to Ryan Rishaug of TSN. (TSN.ca)

He played in 41 games last season for the Oilers and scored four goals with six assists. He is a candidate to join the Connor McDavid line this season yet it is too soon to tell if Slepyshev will be ready for the season opener against Calgary on October 4th.
