T.J. Oshie will not play tonight versus Islanders

Oshie will miss his third straight game with an undisclosed upper-body injury. He did skate in Sunday's practice but it also seems unlikely he will play on Tuesday when the Caps host the Colorado Avalanche. (Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post)

The Caps won the first two games without him, but Oshie's skills on the second line will be much missed as he has 23 points in 28 games (+1).
