Phaneuf used his big shot of his to give the Kings a 3-0 cushion early in the middle frame, with LA a man up. Phaneuf's proven scoring capabilities were no secret when the Kings traded for him to upgrade their blueline, but his secong PPG in 3 games since his acquisition may be even better than what they expected.
