McDavid tamed a puck that had been flipped into the air and found himself one-on-one with Pekka Rinne as he deked around the sprawling goalie to put the Oilers on the board haéfway through the first. Late same period, McDavid entered the zone and dropped a little backhander to Leon Draisaitl who beat Rinne top far corner for a marksman's goal.
