Nico Hischier lights the lamp in loss

by Jeremy Farr | Devils Correspondent | Fri, Oct 19th 12:49pm EDT

Nico Hischier got the Devils on the board Thursday night but was for naught as they fell to the Avalanche 5-3. It was his first goal of the season and also registered an assist while firing three shots on goal through 18:32 of ice time.

Fantasy Impact:

Hischier got the scoring going only 2:28 into the game and looked like the Devils were ramping up for their fifth win in a row. The tables turned however due to Gabriel Landeskog netting a hat trick. Hischier has proven to be a solid starting center for the Devils and playing with Taylor Hall will only help him. He has the talent and skill to be a solid fantasy center and should be rostered in deeper leagues. There are a lot of excellent fantasy players at that position however, just keep him in mind when he starts to gain momentum and the points follow.
