Carter Hutton gets win over Canadiens

by Erik Allen Zingg | Coyotes Correspondent | Fri, Oct 26th 11:57am EDT

Carter Hutton got the win in a four to three see-saw battle victory over the Canadiens. On the night, Hutton stopped eighteen of twenty one shots.

Fantasy Impact:

Carter Hutton grabbed another win to even his season record to four wins and four losses. Hutton’s GAA is an unspectacular 3.08 and he has a mediocre .905 save percentage. Thursday nights win over the Canadiens saw Hutton save eighteen of twenty one shots. Some goalies are great backups and some are great starters. At least one writer, me, is in the opinion that Hutton falls into the latter category. Hutton has performed very well in backup duty and as a fill in starter for the Blues the past two seasons. The jury remains out on Hutton’s mettle as the starter for the Sabres. As long as Hutton is winning he should remain the starter over Ullmark. We will see how the start distribution pans out over the course of a full season for Hutton as he has never played more than forty games in a season in his career. Hutton is a respectable add in deeper leagues because of his wins total.
