Fowler scored a double in the second period, once capitalizing on a free-flowing puck through the crease Rickard Rakell lost his handle on, and the second time using apinpoint snipe into the top corner. He capped his night scoring as the open man after Adam Henrique dangled into the crease and making a play occupying both defenders in the area.
Fowler became the third defenseman in Ducks history to score a hat-trick after Lubomir Visnovsky did it in 2011 and Hampus Lindholm last December. Interestingly enough these three are the only defensemen in the league to achieve the accomplishment since Sheldon Souray did it for Montreal back in 2003.
