Evan Rodrigues scores a goal and assist in Sabres win

Evan Rodrigues got two points in the Sabres 5-2 win over the Flyers on Wednesday night. Rodrigues’s first point was his power play goal in the 1st period. Rodrigues then quickly followed that up with an assist on Johan Larsson’s goal in the first period.
Fantasy Impact:
Evan Rodrigues took his promotion to the top power play line and ran with it. Rodrigues got his 1st goal of the season on the power play. That goal and an assist brought his season total to 1 goal and 7 assists through 16 games. Rodrigues is still only on the 4th even strength line so until he gets regular top line assignments he can’t be counted on for fantasy purposes. If Rodrigues remains on the top power play unit he may be worth a stream in deep fantasy leagues.
