Casey Mittelstadt scored his 5th goal of the season in the first period of the Sabres 3–1 win over the Coyotes on Thursday night.

Casey Mittelstadt scored for the first time in 5 games. Mittelstadt has had an inconsistent season so far with 5 goals and 5 assists through 32 games. Mittelstadt is a first round pick that wetted the appetite of Sabres fans with 5 points in 6 games in his first taste of NHL action last year. The 20 year old out of the University of Minnesota should be a viable player in the long run but this being his first full season it should come up with the ups and downs that come with adjusting to the NHL. Mittelstadt should be only be owned in keeper/dynasty leagues.
