Marcus Johansson gets an assist in Devils loss

by Erik Allen Zingg | Wild Correspondent | Sun, Dec 16th 12:02pm EST

Marcus Johansson got his 9th assist of the season on Brian Boyle’s goal in the third period of the Devils 2-1 overtime shootout loss to the Predators on Saturday night.

Fantasy Impact:

Marcus Johansson is trying to rediscover his form from 2016-2017 with the Capitals when he scored 58 points. He spent most of last season and the start of this season injured. So it may not be until the second half until the Devils see what they expected to get when they acquired Johansson. Johansson has 6 goals and 9 assists through 29 games. Johansson may see a spike in his production while filling in for injured Taylor Hall on the first line with Nico Hischier and Kyle Palmieri. Johansson is a solid medium to deep fantasy league player.
