Matt Duchene picked up his 16th goal and 24th assist of the season on Wednesday night when the Ottawa Senators lost 4-3 in overtime to the Vancouver Canucks. Duchene's goal was scored on the power play. He finished the game with 24:37 of ice time, 6 SOG, 2 hits, and a +1 rating.

Matt Duchene should be in owned in all fantasy formats. Not only is he over a point per game player with 40 points through 35 games played, he is also a trade candidate as the trade deadline inches closer. If Duchene and the Senators are unable to reach an agreement on an extension in the coming weeks, Duchene could potentially be traded to a contender which would obviously have an impact on his fantasy value. Be sure to hang onto him until that situation sorts itself out.
