Nathan Mackinnon tallied the primary assist to Gabriel Landeskog on Thursday night helping the Avalanche defeat the Jets 4-1. He totalled a plus-1 rating, a team-high seven shots and one hit.
Fantasy Impact:
It was a nice two man drop pass as Mikko Rantanen left it for Mackinnon, then he promptly dropped it for Landeskog which gave him a clear path in for the goal. Mackinnon (along with the rest of the team) have not being playing good hockey as of late. There has been a lofty narrative due to the hot start they got out to but the numbers have been normalizing and it's showing on the score sheet. The win puts an end to the Avs eight game losing streak. Despite the tough times, he is still a must start C and should be fired up when they play. He's up to 29 goals and 46 assists this year.
