Alexander Kerfoot pots a pair for the Avs

Alexander Kerfoot continued his excellent late-season, playoff-pushing performance on Tuesday night by scoring two goals to help the Avs down the Oilers 6-2 for a big win. He ended the game with two points, a plus-2 rating and four shots.

Fantasy Impact:

Kerfoot is now up to four goals and eight points total in his last six games. He has stepped up for his team in the earlier absence of captain Gabriel Landeskog and is still picking up the slack left by the injured Mikko Rantanen. His first goal was due to solid positioning as he found a rebound right on his stick to which he buried and ended up being the game winning goal. His second was questionable as the ref called it off, went for review and was ruled no goal, only for the Avs to challenge and get it overturned. It did appear to be goalie interference at first but the puck was over the line before the interference occurred and was ruled in. The effort brings him to 15 goals and 42 points on the season. He appears to be shaping up well for the Avs and hopefully will develop into a solid depth player for them.
