Timo Meier with big night for Sharks in Game 1

by Peter Gustavson | Sharks Correspondent | Sun, May 12th 8:02am EDT

Timo Meier scored two goals and added an assist in San Jose’s victory over St. Louis in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. He was also a plus-two on the evening with three shots-on-goal.

Fantasy Impact:

Meier’s goals came consecutively in the second period, one of which was an absolute beauty, where he picked up a turnover created at the St. Louis blueline, beat a defender with a nifty under-the-stick dangle, and finished by tucking the puck past San Jose goalie Martin Jones with one hand. He now has five goals and eight assists in 15 games this postseason and remains one of the more promising young players in the league.
