Newly acquired forward Wayne Simmonds is looking forward to bouncing back in 2019-20 after coming off a disappointing campaign last season. (Mark Masters on Twitter)

Simmonds claims to be in a better place both mentally and physically heading into the 2019-20 season. Last offseason, Simmonds was unable to workout since he had to have bilateral hernia surgery and torn abductor and hip surgery as well. Simmonds tied his career-low in points last year (30) with the Flyers and Predators. The veteran winger is optimistic this is all behind him as he looks to have a healthy and productive season with his new team the Devils.
