Auston Matthews scores twice in season opener

Auston Matthews opened the season in style with a pair of goals, including the game winner. One of the tallies came on the power-play and he fired eight shots on goal in the Maple Leafs 5-3 victory over Ottawa.
Fantasy Impact:
Matthews looked great in game one, like seems to every year, as he's now totalled 11 points across four career season-opening games. Matthews saw 18:26 in ice-time and while the Leafs power-play converted on just one of five chances, you can't deny the opportunities were there, which provides reason for confidence that the Leafs will soon shape into form. This performance reinforced that Matthews is primed for a big year.
