Brady Tkachuk scores in season opener

by Brendan Ballantyne | Senators Correspondent | Wed, Oct 2nd 11:41pm EDT

Brady Tkachuk started his sophomore season strongly, as he posted a well-rounded stat line that included a goal, two shots, six hits and two penalty minutes in 17:32 of ice-time.

Fantasy Impact:

Tkachuk has the honour of the first NHL goal scored in the 2019-20 season as he banged in a Connor Brown centering pass just 25 seconds into the game against Toronto. The Sens eventually came up short, 5-3. Tkachuk was playing on the Senators top power-play unit and flashed a physical side of play that all fantasy owners should value. After a solid 45 points in 71 games as a rookie, that seems like the floor this season for a young player that should only get better, no matter how bad his team may be overall.
