Andersen makes 28 saves in win over Columbus

by Brendan Ballantyne | Hurricanes Correspondent | Fri, Oct 4th 11:04pm EDT

Frederik Andersen was sharp on Friday, stopping 28 of 29 shots on the road in a 4-1 win over Columbus. The performance moved his record to 2-0 on the young season.

Fantasy Impact:

The only blemish on Andersen's night was courtesy of a power-play goal from Columbus sniper Cam Atkinson. But that's it, as Andersen shut the door and moved his save percentage to a solid .927 and goals against average to an even 2.00 through two starts. You can't ask for a much better start to the season for Andersen. It's likely that Freddie takes a breather in favour of backup Michael Hutchison on the second half of a back-to-back against Montreal on Saturday.
