Williams Nylander scores against St. Louis

by Brendan Ballantyne | Maple Leafs Correspondent | Tue, Oct 8th 12:38pm EDT

William Nylander scored his second goal of the season on Monday, but it wasn't enough as the Maple Leafs ultimately fell 3-2 to the St. Louis Blues. Nylander added four shots on goal and a +1 rating during his 16:14 of ice time.

Fantasy Impact:

While we haven't yet seen an offensive outburst game from Nylander - who has a top-six role on the NHL leader in goals for - he has quietly picked up four points (two goals, two assists) in each of his team's first four contests. Nylander is riding shotgun with Auston Matthews and is a key cog on Toronto's second power-play unit, which is obviously a nice situation to be in. He appears capable of putting together a great season after a disappointing showing in 2018-19.
