Frederik Andersen stops 43 shots in OT win

by Brendan Ballantyne | Hurricanes Correspondent | Sun, Oct 20th 10:10am EDT

Frederik Andersen was tested with a season-high 46 shots against Boston on Saturday, but he managed to turn away 43 on route to a 4-3 overtime win. The goaltender improved his record to 5-2 and has now won three straight starts.

Fantasy Impact:

Andersen looked sharp all night and even shook off a little physicality from David Backes who crashed into his crease, bumping Andersen's head into crossbar in the process. Freddie is clearly fine though, and he now holds a .902 save percentage and 3.09 goals against average. He'll look to carry his momentum into his next opportunity which will likely come on Monday as the Leafs host Columbus.
