Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin will miss approximately eight weeks after undergoing wrist surgery today. (Allan Walsh on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Drouin was injured in the Canadiens 5-2 win over Washington Friday. The team claims the wrist injury was not related to a ferocious hit he took from Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin. It's a tough blow for fantasy owners, although suitable replacements should be available as free agency. Drouin finished tied for third in points for the Canadiens in 2018-19.
