Jonas Johansson was the winning goalie in Friday's 3-2 victory over the visiting St. Louis Blues. He stopped 25 of the 27 shots he faced.
Johansson would of liked to have the first goal back as he left a small gap open against the post and Mike Hoffman exploited it to make the score 1-1. He admitted after the game that it was a, "mistake" and shouldn't went in. He was steady after that and only allowed one more, which was enough for his first win since February 20th 2020. Hopefully this will help build his confidence up and he can be relied upon more frequently as the Avs backup goalie situation has been dire this year. Philipp Grubauer has been playing excellent hockey however.
