William Nylander potted his 14th goal of the season 3:45 into the first period to put the Maple Leafs in front 1-0. He also provided the primary assist on Auston Matthews' second period power-play goal to give his team a 2-0 lead. Toronto would eventually lose the contest by a final score of 3-2 in OT.
