John Tavares with a knee injury as well after Game 1 exit

by Matthew Catalano | Maple Leafs Correspondent | Sat, May 22nd 2:15pm EDT

In addition to sustaining a concussion in Game 1 against the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs captain and forward John Tavares suffered a knee injury that will keep him out for at least two weeks. (nhl.com)

Fantasy Impact:

The good news is Tavares was cleared of an structural damage to his head, neck, and spine after doctors examined him. Unfortunately, Toronto will be without their captain and a very skilled forward for a sustained period of time as he recovers from the knee injury. Should the Maple Leafs make it past Montreal, Tavares may have an outside chance of rejoining his teammates in the next round.
