Ryan Nugent-Hopkins collects three points

by Kelly Kirby | Oilers Correspondent | Thu, Feb 3rd 1:26pm EST

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins provided an assist on Connor McDavid's power-play goal at the end of the first period and then scored twice in three minutes during the third period during the Oilers' 5-3 win over the Capitals.

Fantasy Impact:

Perhaps more than any others, Nugent-Hopkins is reaping the benefits of the shake up in lines since the arrival of Evander Kane. While he leads the third line in regular time, he quarterbacks the top power-play line with Kane, Connor McDavid, and Leon Draisaitl. The 28-year-old has seven points in his last five games and heads into the All-Star Break with significant momentum for increased offense, building on his 33 points going forward. If fantasy managers can swing a trade for him, he is a great candidate for usurping his first-half production.
