Ilya Sorokin recorded a shutout for the Islanders Friday night, stopping all 23 shots faced in a 2-0 win over the Red Wings.
Fantasy Impact:
Sorokin has struggled between the pipes of late for the Islanders, allowing three or more goals in four of his last five starts (1-2-1, .906 save percentage) for the club. The 27-year-old netminder's numbers would benefit immensely from playing behind a more consistent offensive attack, carrying a 2.38 GAA and .923 save percentage in 38 appearances (16-16-4) in net so far this season.
