Dylan Larkin makes Red Wings as 19-year-old

The Red Wings announced that Dylan Larkin has made the Red Wings opening night roster. He will likely be on the first line with Henrik Zetterberg and Justin Abdelkader. (cbssports.com)
Fantasy Impact:
The Red Wings have historically been cautious with their prospects so he was only going to make the roster if he was going to play significant minutes. One of the factors is the injury to Pavel Datsyuk who will be out until November, giving Dylan a month audition to see how he fares at the NHL level. In five preseason games this season Larkin posted three goals and four points and had a plus-3 rating.
