Pekka Rinne wins season debut

by Rickey Brooksher | Predators Correspondent | Fri, Oct 9th 10:17am EDT

Predators goalie Pekka Rinne finished with 25 saves and only one goal allowed in a 2-1 win over the Hurricanes in the season opener in Nashville.

Fantasy Impact:

Rinne has been one of the top goalies in the NHL throughout his career when healthy. This season is especially exciting for Rinne owners considering the defensive talent on the Preds. Shea Weber and Roman Josi are likely the top pair in the league, and the young Seth Jones may be primed for a breakout season in his third year. If Rinne can stay healthy this season you can expect him to win many games with Nashville. He is a must start every game he plays.
