Tampa Bay Lightning C Steven Stamkos "will have surgery to remove a blood clot near his right collarbone and will be sidelined 1-3 months." (Corey Long, NHL.com Correspondent)
Fantasy Impact:
This is a big blow to Tampa Bay. He is their captain, and their best player. Stamkos would, theoretically, only be available to play again this season if the Lightning go deep in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
