Richard Panik scores his sixth goal of the season

by Jake Perper | Islanders Correspondent | Tue, Apr 5th 11:59pm EDT

RW Richard Panik suited up on Tuesday night with injuries to wingers Marian Hossa and Andrew Shaw leaving the Blackhawks thin. Panik recorded his sixth goal of the season on assists from Jonathan Toews and Niklas Hjalmarsson in the opening period.

Fantasy Impact:

The 25-year-old added the game's first goal and provided a team-high four hits in 13:05 TOI. In 27 games skated with the Blackhawks, the 2009 second round pick has five goals and two assists with a +4 rating since coming over from Toronto via trade. Panik could eventually turn into a full-time starter in Chicago. He's shown flashes, but needs to be more consistent.
