Joaquin Niemann wins the Greenbrier Classic

by Nic Turner | Mon, Sep 16th 6:48am EDT

Niemann won his first ever PGA event at the Greenbrier Classic, and he became the first ever player from Chile to win on Tour. He was simply brilliant all week - shooting rounds of 65-62-68-64 to finish at 21-under and win the event by six strokes.

Fantasy Impact:

At 20-years-old, Niemann is one of the games rising young stars. He is an incredible ball striker and is slowly becoming a serious threat with his putter. He led the entire field in strokes gained: putting this week, as he gained an average of 2.20 strokes on the field. This should be the first of many wins and he will look to build off this performance next week.
